Tour Guide Positions
The main things we look for in hiring new staff for our guiding team is previous guiding experience, excellent interpersonal skills, a Wilderness First Responder certification, extensive regional knowledge of the areas in which we operate—the national parks and forests of the western U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, New England and Canada, basic bike mechanics, outdoor skills and a genuine love for the outdoors, a service mentality, patience and flexibility.
Our guides work very hard under demanding conditions and need to perform at the highest standards for several weeks at a time. This position is not for people new to the industry who just want to do something fun for the summer. The Tour Guide position is geared toward individuals interested in pursuing a career as a professional guide and who could commit to working at least two seasons as a guide within our organization.
The application packet contains more information and will give you an idea of what we're looking for in Tour Leaders. Please download and email or mail the packet back along with a photo of yourself traveling in one of your favorite places.
