Croatia Multi-Sport
Hike, Bike, Raft, Sea Kayak, Canyoning and Culture
Whatever your expections, you will be unprepared for the warmth of the welcome in Croatia. Experience on foot the wild beauty of Krka National Park, mountain bike through the countryside, whitewater raft and canyon the Cetina River, sea kayak among the exquisite islands of the Adriatic Coast and explore the historic, picturesque cities of Split and Dubrovnik.
Days 1-2 Split-Krka. Transfer to the hotel from the airport and enjoy a welcome dinner this evening. Get a taste of Split's vibrant nightlife or just stroll along the seaside promenade. The following day we visit Krka National Park, known for its limestone gorges and waterfalls. A boat ride delivers us to 150-foot Skradinski Falls where we can cool off in the river's inviting pools. We continue on to the quiet farming village of Trilj on the banks of the Cetina River.
Days 3-5 Trilj-Cetina River. Ride your bicycle through farms and vineyards, along the river and through the rolling green hills of the Trilj region. Raft the Cetina River through a canyon with mighty cliffs soaring above. White water fun leads to Radman's Mills where we swim in the clear mountain stream or take a stroll through the woods. Continue the next day with a canyoning adventure--a combination of hiking, climbing, rappelling and swimming--to explore the canyon's waterfalls, rapids, pools and subturranean tunnels. This evening we dine at a "Flintstone"-style stone restaurant--rustic, traditional and fun!
Days 6-7 Split-Korcula. Our guide leads us through the streets of the coastal city of Split, where we visit ancient Diocletian's Palace, pick up a bargain in the market, and enjoy a drink in a café bar on the "Riva". A ferry delivers us to Korcula Island, bithplace of Marco Polo, where we explore the city on this greenest of the islands. This is a wonderful Dalmatian city with its protective wall, round defensive towers, and clusters of red-roofed houses.
Days 8-10 Dubrovnik-Elafiti Islands. We're off to Dubrovnik, jewel of the Adriatic and the most beautiful and well preserved city in Croatia. Sea kayak among the breathtaking Elafiti Islands, a string of mostly uninhabited islands stretching to the Peljesac Peninsula. Have a picnic lunch on a deserted beach, swim in a glorious bay and enjoy your time in the sun. After some last minute shopping in this wonderful city, we transfer to the airport for flights home.
